My Zuvaa Pop-up tour experience!!

Dress by Ofuure
So you are probably wondering what I have been up to, huh? Well this past Sunday, I had the opportunity to model for Zuvaa's very first pop-up shop in Detroit! Zuvaa is an online marketplace for clothes that are African-inspired, so I was truly honored to have been chosen to model for this type of event. It actually made me feel special in a way being that I'm an African-American girl but I really don't know much about African culture. Thankfully, I was able to interact with the designers and they were able to teach me a little about their culture in their countries, which was overall the inspiration for their clothing lines.
While at the event, I was also able to interact with the customers especially since I was greeting all of them at the front door. May I add that everyone was fashion-forward? Everyone there had an amazing sense of fashion and I was inspired! On top of being fashion-forward, everyone was extremely positive to one another. You could hear compliments left and right and I was living!! (first time using that phrase lol) While mixing and mingling, I was able to meet and chat with other models and bloggers from the city of Detroit. One particular blogger by the name of Kelechi stood out. She was so easy to talk to and we literally talked about a little bit of everything until it was almost time to go. I will admit, by the end of the night my feet was killing me. Wearing five-inch heels and walking around for four straight hours was not the business- although I looked cute (and taller lol). Overall, the event was just a good time and with everything that has happened in the past weeks, a good time was just what I needed. It was a true pleasure to be in that environment and to meet all of those new faces. I would definitely do it again if the opportunity presents itself!

Well, until next time! -Keke
